Group Description
Parenting Together is an online parent support group for current or former parents of individuals living with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome/Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder.
The primary goal of this online group is to provide a forum for parents to share family achievements and challenges with other parents who understand the complexities of parenting someone who lives with this intellectual disability.
Additionally, we desire to provide up to date informational materials on FAS/FASD developed by the Midwest Regional Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Training Center.
Parenting Together is supported by the Partners For Success (PFS) program - a Center for Disease Control funded grant, hosted at Saint Louis University Department of Family & Community Medicine. While PFS is the founder of this group, we seek for the group to be participant led and managed.
As part of this online presence, the group will attempt to have in-person events, where members desiring to meet can participate in a conventional monthly or bi-monthly support group. In-person events will be posted on the group calendar.
